Everything Sounds Better With A British Accent

One of my physical goals (part of my 3P plan) is to get in the best shape for 2015 half-marathons and marathons. In order to accomplish the goal, I have a few pounds to lose.

We say pounds, the Brits say stones. One stone is equivalent to 14 pounds. It sounds so depressing when I need to lose 7 pounds but it has a nice ring to it when I only need to lose half a stone.

Insanity week 5 day 2 – DONE!

I’m getting there.

Be Choosy

I am choosy and I will not settle. I don’t know if the path I chosen chose me or I stumbled accidentally upon it. What I do know is this path feels right and it feels certain. I feel I have found my footing and it feels sure and I feel confident. My fears may scare me but I am not afraid because I am on my way.

And right now I am on my way to the accountant for a big tax refund!

I am getting there.

P.S. KeePSeeking

Believers, who intimately connect, spiritually can rise above adversity, endure complexity, maintain simplicity, develop tenacity, overcome anxiety, depend on Divinity, and live happily. Circumstance may question faith, temporarily. Conditions may disrupt rest, briefly. Thieves in search of joy and peace may surround, closely. Uncertainty may question, continually. But for those deeply rooted, unashamedly convicted and firmly grounded; nothing outward can compare to this Strength found inward.

It is stronger than your situation, tougher than the worst of times, more powerful than difficult people, higher than your negative influences, deeper than your inner most longings, and more hopeful than the rose-colored view of the optimistic. It anchors the distressed, affirms the humble, strengthens the weak, comforts the lonely, enables the willing, lifts the hopeless, sustains the faithful and directs the seeker.

It will clarify your perspective, rearrange your priorities, carry your burdens, untangle your chaos, increase your gratitude and awaken your…

You read my blog and I’ll give you candy?

(The next two stanzas are set to the chorus tune of Madonna’s Material Girl)

Because we are living in a (social) media world

and I need more media girls (and boys).

It is funny  when you tell people what you are up to and they immediately respond with how they will support you.  So you ask, “Hey can you read my blog and share it?”

No response. Crickets.

But then they turn right around and ask you to help them get to the next level on Candy Crush.  Both actions require the same amount of strength.  No; I requested to read and share. Maybe my problem is I ask too much. Forgot the read, just share (after all, I remember growing up in the 1900s where it was drilled to me that sharing is caring).

If You Write it, They Will Follow

I am getting there.

The Year of The Horse

Chinese New Year states this year is the year of the horse.

I was born in the year of the horse so WOO-HOO!!

According to one site (www.travelchinaguide.com) great things were mentioned for those of us who were born in the year of the horse:

“They are clever, kind to others, and like to join in a venture career. Although they sometimes talk too much, they are cheerful, perceptive, talented, earthy but stubborn. They like entertainment and large crowds. They are popular among friends, active at work and refuse to be reconciled to failure, although their endeavor cannot last indefinitely.”

And then the bad news:

“Their financial fortune will be unstable in 2014. It seems that there will be much unexpected cost. Thus to make ends meet comes first When managing money matters, they should consider accepting others’ suggestion. It is necessary to be careful to make any investment. Businesspeople should make a full scheme before making a large amount of investment, because the market will be changeable in the year.”

Whatever! I make my own path!  I have always said, “WHO NEEDS LUCK WHEN YOU HAVE SKILLS!”

Just 10 minutes

Every year I make the commitment to really improve on my 3P’s – physical, personal, professional.

It has been 37 days into the new year and I proudly can say I am keeping my end of the bargain by two-thirds.

Physical – I make it a daily goal to do 10 minutes of exercise. I challenge myself by going to the gym three times a week. Once I am there I either stay for the minimum commute time it takes me to get there and back (usually ten minutes each way) or I take a class. Either way, goal and mission accomplished!

Personal – Still working on this one. Maybe I need to write a list, check it twice, and put it into effect.  Hmm, I should commit to writing on this blog DAILY! I am going to start by writing on this blog everyday for the rest of February 2014.  After all, it is a short month!

Professional – Check out these sites: www.nakedbarsoaps.com and thenakedbar.storenvy.com!

All I know is I am getting there!
